The scene last Sunday was far from my early days of going back to SOM, circa 1995-2001, where mingling is almost exclusive with former dorm mates and classmates. A mass, a program, some nods here and there, and that's it. My problem these recent GAHs, is how to divide my time among you my dear batchmates, friends from other batches and things to enjoy while inside the school. A welcome dilemma nonetheless.
By now, we have grown accustomed into seeing batchmates both ladies and gents regularly in Silang. After the initial awkwardness of remembering names of familiar faces, the gents can go laughing their way to reminiscing shared experiences, sometimes all the way to a batchmate's place with food & drinks. I guess, that happens too with our lady batchmates minus the drinking part.
While this year is a bit lacking, in terms of having a formal talk amongst batchmates, I can assure you, that isn't always the case. It is understandable to get a little envious of other batchmates in uniformed shirts, banner, meetings and all.
We had them in the past. It's just that the usual "pasimuno", (for lack of better term), may have been preoccupied by other pressing matters or distracted by the pure joy of roaming the grounds of our beloved Alma Mater.
If we ever meet by August 2011, I greatly expect, that the talk would be more meaningful, and as always in our batch, fruitful.

I do suggest all the attendees must wear a name tag to get rid of the awkwarDness amongst the attendees.
Wear a blue shirt (or something blue).

Nice idea. Kailangan lang natin ng tatao sa registration para mamigay ng nametag, if di sya implemented for the whole ASMSI.
