1995 Batchmates Visit Sisters of Mary Korea

On the occasion of the 50th Foundation Day Anniversary of the Sisters of Mary in South Korea, our very own batchmates were there. Suffice it to say that we are fortunate to have been represented. :)

Ms. Irene Balmes, Ms. Zen Villapando & Ms. Nelfe Villas were able to visit the place where it all started. Indeed, they are really fortunate!

Photos grabbed from Zen's and Nelfe's Facebook photos.

We'll just need to ask these lucky batchmates of ours, to share their stories when me meet them on how was it there. Anyway, for those interested, there is a second wave of visit to SOM Korea in October. Kindly coordinate with the ASMSI office in Silang.

I hope that we all get inspired by this awesome experience of our batchmates. Let it serve as our motivation to improve and better ourselves to enable us to visit other SOM schools. For me, I aspire to be able to visit SOM Cebu first.

Cheers to you all my batchmates. ;)

August 10, 2014 Foundation Day Celebration

Another Foundation Day Celebration in the books. Here's my recap, thoughts etc...

Thanks to Pareng Ranel and Bro. Louie & company for the hilariously enjoyable ride going back to our school.

Naks! Nice Batch 2004. Also, yung database ng visit sana maimprove. Hindi kasi nakarecord na present ako last March 2014. Ayoko namang masabihan ng "drowing" lang. Hehehe!!! On a positive note, I welcome the effort to improve.

Special thanks to Mommy este Sexy Nancy for the ice cream dessert.

Salamat kay Bro. George Bautista sa mga updates about the alumni. Divino for the steady leadership.

Let's break it down to smaller amount para mas maging affordable.

Nakabonding ko si Pareng Ranel, Louie w/ Jona, Edwin with Shirly & Tisha, MP with Jeng at Arieste w/o ********.

Hehehe!!!

Sa uulitin.

The ASMSI Blog, A Repost

This is an improved version of a post I've written when the ASMSI blog was started in November of 2009. Currently, it is in the backburner. But I believe that it will be revived in the future and will be of help to the ASMSI organization.

Our Chime, Our Blog

Who among us can forget the Sisters of Mary chime bell?

A simple melody that calls everyone in the institution to a guided course of action - whether to study, to work, to pray or to play.

ASMSI wishes to sound its own chime.

This time to call upon all alumni to lend a hand, a persona if you will - as to what is a Sisters of Mary graduate is all about - through the ASMSI's very own blog.

What has happened to the child that used to heed that simple chime after stepping out of the confines of the hallowed grounds of the beloved Alma Mater?

Through the ASMSI blog, any alumni can be a chime ringer. Through words, any alumni can tell a story of triumph, share an experience filled with valuable lessons, ask a relevant, even thought-provoking question to ponder upon or to call to action others to a noble endeavor.

True, action speaks louder than words. But in these modern times even positive actions are drowned by the noise of the world. The ASMSI blog aims to speak out the cumulative voice of SMS graduates - a voice that can inspire, trigger a positive change and ultimately, lead to improved lives.

Is it in us to use the power and reach of a weblog to make ASMSI & the alumni, its aspirations & initiatives, its goals & accomplishments, its struggles & triumphs, to be better communicated towards each other and to the world?

Is it in you, in us? Blog on!

P.S.
I'm down with the flu, again.
